Academic focus:

Writers’ Workshop: We will be writing one last opinion story about our favorite part of spring break. Once that story is done, we will begin our new unit on realistic narrative writing. The goal of this unit is to write a series of books revolving around one main character, such as Henry and Mudge.

Readers’ Workshop: Readers Preview Stories to Get Ready for Reading Adventures Readers take a sneak peek to find out where they’ll go and what they’ll do.


Mathematics: We will continue our work with dividing shapes, but will expand the concept of diving from halves into fourths or quarters.

Science: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This will be a mini-unit on the three steps we can use to help the planet. We will be looking at trash and where it goes when it leaves our house.
